ORAN, Mo. -- Mary Lou Penhale, 56, of Grovetown, Ga., entered into rest Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at her home.
A native of Oran, she was the daughter of M.O. "Dick" and Mary Buell Davis.
She had resided in the Tampa, Fla., area many years before moving to Grovetown in 2004. While in Florida she was the assistant to the director of the State Mental Health Care Division, and had been a group home mother.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Jim Penhale of Grovetown; her children, David Woolf and wife Kim of Pensacola, Fla., Gina Hagerty and husband Chuck of Cape Girardeau, Robert Woolf and wife Erin of Gainesville, Fla.; her father of Oran; three grandchildren, Jessica Hagerty, Chase Hagerty and Devon Woolf.
Also surviving are stepdaughters, Laura Adams of Grovetown, Linda Webb and husband Kenny of Norman Park, Ga., Susan Alvarez and husband Leonard of Martinez, Ga.; stepgrandchildren, William H. "Trey" Adams III, James E. "Jamey" Adams, Lesley A. Adams and Carl R. Adams; three brothers, Leon Davis of Monroe, La., Bill Davis of Val Rico, Fla., Glenn Davis of Oran; four sisters, Peggy Lape of Chaffee, Mo., Lavern Warren of Greenwood, Mo., Jane Swain of Chaffee, Janice Hagan of Oran; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Ga.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, 4501 Wrightsboro Road, Grovetown, with Chaplain Wayne Bruner officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bill Davis, Glenn Davis, Richard Davis, Chuck Hagerty, Jeff Eftink and Gene Warren.
