ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mary Woodfin Long, 77, of Advance died Sunday, March 9, 2003, at Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 29, 1925, in Gibbs, Tenn., daughter of Harold and Mary Shupe Duncan. She and Kenneth Long were married March 17, 1951, in Piggott, Ark.
She retired from Advance School District after 42 years of teaching and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Kenneth Duncan Long of Advance; a daughter, Priscilla Miller of Jackson; a brother, Billy Duncan of Akron, Ohio; a sister, Melissa Williamson of Vienna, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Wayne Page officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
