MARY LEE MARKWELL

PERRYVILLE -- Mary Lee Markwell, 60, of Wichita, Kan., died Thursday, March 11, 1999.

She was born April 6, 1938, at Anthony, Kan., to Gilbert Earl Hornbaker and Florence Hafner. She married Darwin Markwell April 29, 1958, in Miami, Okla.

Markwell was a retired executive secretary at H. and G. Marine Co. in Perryville.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Jon Markwell of Arlington, Texas, Joel Markwell of Atlanta, and Jay and James Markwell, both of Wichita; four brothers, Frank Carter of Austin, Texas, Earl Hornbaker of Long Beach, Wash., Andy Hornbaker of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Glen Hornbaker of King George, Va.; two sisters, Alice Walker of Antlers, Okla., and La Rue Hanna of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Friday at the Resthaven Mortuary Chapel in Wichita.
