Mary Ann Lee, 80, of Jackson, formerly of Dexter, Mo., died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born Dec. 6, 1930, daughter of the late James Alexander and Edna Burris Alexander. She was united in marriage to Ivan Lee on Dec. 18, 1948, at Malden, Mo.

Mrs. Lee was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dexter, was the former owner of the Dexter Dairy Queen, former receptionist for Dr. T. L. Waddle M. D. and former deputy clerk for the Stoddard County clerk's office.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Robert Denton of Jackson; two grandchildren, Jason Denton and wife Darcey of Willow Springs, Ill., and Justin Denton and fiancee Mary Rose Roberts of Cape Girardeau; one great-grandson, Ryan Denton of Willow Springs; and a brother, Jim Alexander of Fredericktown, Mo.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 501 S. Walnut St., Dexter, MO 63841.
