Mary Bishop Lasater, 80, of Sikeston died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born June 28, 1925, in Wilmington, N.C., daughter of Joseph Springs and Emily Marie Fleet Bishop. She and Dayton Aaron Lasater were married on April 14, 1951, in Sikeston. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2000.
Mrs. Lasater was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston and was active in the church's Ladies Circle Three Group and the Philathea Sunday School Class for many years.
She was an Avon Sales Representative over 25 years in the Sikeston and Charleston area.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, Michael Dayton and Cheryl Lasater of Dexter, Gary Lee and Susan Lasater of Jackson, Larry Joseph and Melanie Lasater of Sikeston; two sisters and their husbands, Avis and James Martin of Bethalto, Ill., Joan and Patrick Rolwing of Charleston; six grandchildren, Tyler and Audra Lasater of Dexter, Sarah and Allison Lasater of Jackson, Ross and Taylor Lasater of Sikeston; and one great-grandchild, Brooke Lasater of Dexter.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Dempster Memorial Chapel of First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church with the Revs. Geoff Posegate and Harold Norton officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
