Mary LaMar
CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mary Lovina LaMar, 87, of Portageville, Mo., died Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at Portageville Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 10, 1915, in New Madrid County, daughter of John Edward and Bertha Mae Sandy Garrison. She and Harry Robert LaMar were married April 1, 1951. He died June 25, 1980.
LaMar had been a seamstress at a clothing factory. She was formerly of Chaffee.
Survivors include two sons, Harley Blizzard of Indianapolis, Ind., Reginald Blizzard of Plainfield, Ind.; a daughter, Imogene Pounders of Thayer, Mo.; a sister, Alice Curtis of Chaffee; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, five brothers and two sisters.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, with the Rev. Larry Jeffries officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
