Funeral service for Mary Louella Thompson, 436 S. Spring, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. Hal Greene will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to service time.

Thompson, 76, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 1995, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born July 16, 1919, in Granite City, Ill., daughter of David H. and Maude Fierce Watkins. She and A.J. Thompson were married April 14, 1960, in Canton, Ohio. He preceded her in death.

She and her husband owned and operated Mirafic Products Co. in Canton. She moved to Cape Girardeau in 1972, and had been a secretary for an insurance company. She was a member of Cape Bible Chapel, and had done volunteer work at St. Francis Medical Center and Cape Senior Center.

Survivors include a son, James Thompson of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Leroy Watkins of Cape Girardeau, David Watkins of Granite City, and a grandchild.
