Mary Ruth Krueger, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 20, 1926, in Cape Girardeau to Leo Pearl and Ida Alice Hobson Welker.
She and Harry Krueger were married Aug. 8, 1953, at Cape Girardeau.
Mary attended Cape Girardeau schools. She worked for Davis Electric in the 1940s and '50s.
She loved camping, traveling on family vacations and attending bluegrass festivals. She was musically gifted, even playing music with friends and family at local nursing homes.
She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Krueger of Cape Girardeau; sons, Gary (Mary) Yoder of Kingston, Tennessee, and David (Karen) Yoder of Edgemont, Arkansas; daughter, Nancy Krueger (John) LaFata of St. Louis; sister, Margaret Strack; grandchildren, Laura Yoder, Robyn Thatcher, Dana Boucher, Dennis Hill, Blake Yoder, Chance Yoder, Luke LaFata, Loren LaFata and Lacy LaFata; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Davidson.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
