JACKSON, Mo. -- Mary Rosalyn Koenig, 52, of Jackson, Mo., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at her home. She was born Feb. 23, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the daughter of Ferdinand and Myrtle L. Kaempfe Braun. She was married to Ronald J. Koenig on Jan. 16, 1970, in Cape Girardeau, Mo...

JACKSON, Mo. -- Mary Rosalyn Koenig, 52, of Jackson, Mo., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at her home. She was born Feb. 23, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., the daughter of Ferdinand and Myrtle L. Kaempfe Braun. She was married to Ronald J. Koenig on Jan. 16, 1970, in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Mary graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1967. She had operated Classy Glass in Cape Girardeau for 10 years and then was self-employed as an antique dealer in St. Mary, Mo.

She belonged to the Bible Study Fellowship International.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald J. Koenig of Jackson; her parents, Ferdinand and Myrtle Braun of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a son, Jeremy "Shawn" Koenig, of Jackson; a daughter, Laurel Alicia Koenig, of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Fred Braun of Kenai, Ala., and Michael A. Braun of Valencia, Calif.; and three sisters, Jeanne Roth of Gamaliel, Ark., Kathleen "Kay" M. Sanders of Thompson Falls, Mont., and Sharon A. Braun of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by one brother, David G. Braun, who died in 1940.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Parish prayers begin at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Msgr. Ed Eftink officiating. Interment will follow at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for breast cancer research.
