MARY KIRN

CHAFFEE -- Mrs. Mary Kirn of Chaffee died Monday, Feb. 11, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was 77 years old.

She was born Jan. 7, 1914, at Oran, daughter of Joseph and Harriet McClanahan Phegley. She married Ben Kirn Sept. 9, 1933.

Mrs. Kirn was a sewing machine operator 42 years at Thorngate, retiring in 1976. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Margaret Hawkins of Sebring, Fla.; a sister, Angie Kennedy of Collinsville, Ill.; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, two brothers and three sisters.

There was no visitation or service. Burial was Tuesday in St. Lawrence Cemetery at New Hamburg. Amick-Burnett Funeral Home of Chaffee was in charge of arrangements.
