ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mary Dewies Keene, 79, of Advance died Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at Lakeview Home Care Residential Facility in Wappapello, Mo.
She was born Jan. 20, 1927, in Granite City, Ill., daughter of Charles and Mattie Milam Gunter. She and Lloyd Keene were married Jan. 19, 1946, at Kinder, Mo. He died Sept. 20, 1996.
Keene worked 22 years at Inland Shoe Co., and retired as a field agent with the University of Missouri Extension Office. She was a member of Bethel General Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star, both of Advance.
Survivors include two sons, Lloyd Keene of Brownwood, Mo., Kevin Keene of Advance; a sister, Jeannie Trout of Puxico, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a son and a brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Placher officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
