DONGOLA, Ill. -- Mary Karraker, 93, of Dongola, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1995, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
She was born Nov. 10, 1901, in Dongola, daughter of John and Minerva Casper Cauble. She and Roscoe Karraker were married in 1922. He died June 16, 1957.
The Karrakers operated Karraker's Grocery in Dongola many years. She was the telephone operator in Dongola for many years, and had worked at the secretary of state's office in Springfield. She was a member of Dongola Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Nonnie Osburn of Springfield; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 6-8 p.m. today, and prior to service Saturday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Robert Cox officiating. Burial will be in American Legion Cemetery.
