MARBLE HILL -- Mary Ellen Johnson, 90, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 15, 1908, near Marquand, daughter of Jessie and Elizabeth Buckhart Spain. She and Earl B. Robbins were married in 1924. He died in 1953. She later married Pink Johnson, who died in 1959...

MARBLE HILL -- Mary Ellen Johnson, 90, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 15, 1908, near Marquand, daughter of Jessie and Elizabeth Buckhart Spain. She and Earl B. Robbins were married in 1924. He died in 1953. She later married Pink Johnson, who died in 1959.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Frymire of Marble Hill; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 45 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, two brothers, a sister, and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Grassy Cemetery.
