MARBLE HILL -- Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Irene Shields of Marble Hill will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenfield Funeral Chapel in Greenfield. The Rev. Manning Miller will officiate, with burial in Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Saturday.
Liley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shields, 52 years old, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 1991, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 2, 1938, at Greenfield, daughter of Cecil R. and Irene J. Schaefer Young. She married Wayne Shields, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Shields had been a teacher in a private school, and attended First United Methodist Church here.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Shields of Snowmass, Colo., Joel Shields of Marble Hill; a daughter, Laurel Bush of Marble Hill; her parents of Stockton; a brother, Robert Young of Columbia, and a sister, Dorothy Murdock of Leawood, Kan.
