BENTON, Mo. -- Mary Ada Hopper, 87, of Benton died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 1, 1920, at Morley, Mo., daughter of William A. and Mary M. Capps Beggs. She and Joe Willard "Bill" Hopper were married in 1939.
Hopper was a member of Unity Baptist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include a son, Larry Hopper of Benton; a daughter, Mary Beth McIntosh of Benton; a sister, Dorothy Ervin of Arnold, Mo.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, eight brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Revs. Dale Huff and Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Old Morley Cemetery at Morley.
