EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Mary Mae Holtzclaw, 89, of East Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at her home.
She was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Miller City, Ill., to Charles and Bertha Douglas McKenzie. She and the Rev. Albert D. Holtzclaw were married June 13, 1940, at Morganfield, Ky.
They were members of Apostolic Promise Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Albert D. Holtzclaw of East Cape Girardeau; a son, Charles A. Holtzclaw of East Cape Girardeau; two daughters: Betty Shepard of Bushnell Fla., and Rebecca Holtzclaw of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Kenneth McKenzie of Norris City, Ill.; a sister, Marjorie Robinson of Norris City; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, three brothers, four sisters, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Timothy Lee officiating.
There will be another visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi, Ill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home, with the Rev. Timothy Lee and the Rev. Roy Holtzclaw officiating.
Burial will follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Carmi.
Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice (TIPS) in Anna, Ill.
