EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Mary Hogan, 94, died Feb. 27, 2017, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Matthews, Missouri to the late O.L. and Florence (Caldwell) Daugherty.
Mary was a member of First Baptist Church in East Prairie, a graduate of Matthews High School, a homemaker, housewife, volunteer and business partner in Dorena Mercantile and Hogan Farm Supply.
On May 17, 1941, she married Lloyd Hogan; he preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1990.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michal and Patricia Hogan of East Prairie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Doug Bryan of Springfield, Missouri, and Laurel and Christopher Adkisson of Cape Girardeau; one sister, June Freshour of Sikeston, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ethan and Jamie Bryan, Katy and Joseph Oswalt, Travis Hogan and Spencer Hogan; and three great-grandchildren, Kaylea Bryan, Sophie Bryan and Henry Oswalt.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Hogan; three brothers, Paul Daugherty, Carl Daugherty and O.L. Daugherty Jr.; and two sisters, Alice Bush and Maxine Lathum Poole.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Lathum, a retired Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Bryan, Joseph Oswalt, Travis Hogan, Spencer Hogan, Melvin Williams and Joe Sorrells.
