CAIRO, Ill. -- Mary V. Hessian, 97, of Cairo, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at her home.
She was born on Dec. 8, 1902, in Cairo, daughter of Jeremiah and Kate Magner McCarthy.
She was married to Edwin Hessian. He died in 1949.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo and the Church Altar Guild. She was a clerk at Cade's Florist in Cairo before her retirement.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary E. Hessian of Cairo.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Revs. Jerome Fortenberry and Tom Stout officiating.
Friends may call from 9 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Villa Ridge, Ill.
Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
