OAK RIDGE -- Mary E. Haupt, 73, of Tucson, Ariz., died Sunday, March 28, 1999, in a Tucson hospital.
She was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Oak Ridge, daughter of Joseph and Frieda Wills Cobble. She and retired Brig. Gen. Raymond L. Haupt were married May 26, 1950.
Haupt worked at the Marines Public Information Office in Washington, D.C., and in Denver, Colo., and Omaha, Neb., with the War Assets Administration and the Army Recruiting Office. She was a member of Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Col. Stu Haupt of Edwards Air Force Base, Calif.; two brothers, Jim Cobble of Arnold, Bob Cobble of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters, Oma Unger of Jackson, Verla Kinder of Daisy, Renee Jones of Highland, Ind.; and a grandson.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Chris McCutchen will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.
