MORLEY, Mo. -- Mary Rozila Gunter, 86, of Morley died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 12, 1920, at Winona, Mo., daughter of James Longstreet and Mary Ellen Melvina Price Lindsey. She and Oral Elmo "Bill" Gunter were married Nov. 10, 1942, at Charleston, Mo. He died April 11, 1967.
Gunter was a nutrition education assistant with the University of Missouri Extension Service.
Survivors include three sons, Roy Gunter of Benton, Mo., James Gunter of Chaffee, Mo., Daniel Gunter of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Brenda Stroder of Chaffee, Sharon Gunter of Benton; a sister, Susie Morris of Indianapolis, Ind.; a half sister, Marie Wells of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers, a sister, a half brother, a half sister, a grandchild, a stepson and a stepgrandson.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
