MARY GREER

Funeral service for Mary Ellen Greer of Scottsdale, Ariz., will be held at 3 p.m. today at Paradise Chapel Funeral Home in Phoenix, Ariz. Burial will be in Green Acres Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale.

Greer, 92, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at Brighton Garden Care Center in Scottsdale.

Greer was a native of Kuttawa, Ky. She married Manning P. Greer, who preceded her in death. He was a former mayor of Cape Girardeau.

She was a salesclerk at Hecht's, retiring in 1988. She moved to Scottsdale in 1990 from Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Order of Eastern Star, and White Shrine of Jerusalem.

Survivors include a son, Paul Greer of Phoenix; a brother, Anderson Hayden of Missouri; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
