CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mary Etna Atwood Gatlin, 98, of Little Rock, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003.
She was born July 2, 1905, at Naylor, Mo. She and Earl Gatlin were married Nov. 1, 1924.
Gatlin was formerly of Chaffee and Doniphan, Mo. She retired as a post mistress with the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Doniphan.
Survivors include a daughter, Earlene Galloway of Little Rock; two sisters, Emily McCleary of Doniphan, Louise Radin of St. Louis; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter.
A memorial service was held Jan. 10 at First Baptist Church in Doniphan, with the Rev. Wade Rogers officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery at Oxly, Mo.
Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan was in charge of arrangements.
