MARY FLOSSIE LAYTON

BREWER -- Mary Flossie Layton, 95, of Brewer, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998, at her home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1902, in Perry County, the daughter of Henry F. and Mary Moore Brewer. She and L. Harold Layton were married April 15, 1929. He died Nov. 14, 1961.

Layton was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church and Sacred Heart in Brewer, the Legion of Mary and Lady of the Snows.

Survivors include five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and sisters; and a son.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville. A parish wake service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Christ the Savior Church in Brewer, with the Rev. Felipe Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
