CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Mary Rita Fields, 79, of Charleston died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at East Prairie Nursing Center. She was born April 1, 1921, in Charleston, daughter of McElroy and Nannie Favors Hequembourg. She and George W. Fields were married Aug. 3, 1946. He died Sept. 12, 1997...

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Mary Rita Fields, 79, of Charleston died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born April 1, 1921, in Charleston, daughter of McElroy and Nannie Favors Hequembourg. She and George W. Fields were married Aug. 3, 1946. He died Sept. 12, 1997.

Fields lived in Charleston all her life, and was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Hart and Nancee Fields of Charleston; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Gerald Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
