Mary Margaret Mathews Fellows, age 68, of Jackson, passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2005 at her home.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1937 in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Joe and Anna Lucille Short Mathews. She and Andy Fellows were married Sept. 28, 1991.
Mary Margaret was a 1955 graduate of Jackson High School and attended the former Cape Business College. She lived in Atlanta, Ga., from 1960 to 1980, working in the finance department of a property management firm, Carter Associates. She worked a number of years for the former Schaper's IGA in Jackson and did home domestic work. In 1991, she began working with her husband in the construction business.
Mary Margaret was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church and was active in the Ladies Circle.
Loving survivors include her husband of Jackson; a brother, Joe Manning (Judy) Mathews of Jackson; a stepson, Allen (Kathy) Fellows of Jackson; a stepdaughter, Candace (Brian) Wilson of Benton, Ky.; four grandchildren, Jessica, Janet Kay, and Jennifer Fellows, all of Jackson, and Jackie Edwards of Jonesboro, Ill.; her mother-in-law, Madonna Fellows of Jackson; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Lee (Jerry) McCullough of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Joshua Lewis Wayne Leggett.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating.
Burial will be in Cape Girardeau County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
