JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mary Jeanette "Nette" Farris, 75, of Jonesboro died Friday, June 11, 2004, at her home.
She was born Sept. 9, 1928, at Wolf Lake, Ill., daughter of Samuel and Mary Della Brothers Boshera. She and Fred Chester Farris were married Nov. 20, 1949. He died Dec. 26, 1961.
Farris was employed as a cook for Stoner's Cafe and also worked in home health care. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and a member of the First Baptist Church in Anna, Ill., and its Leisure Club.
Survivors include five sons, Dale Farris of Lincoln, Ill., Bill "Big Bill" Farris, Sam Farris, all of Carbondale, Ill. Jerry Farris of Jonesboro, Fred Farris of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mary Bloodworth of Dongola, Ill.; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Duschl of Jonesboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and an infant brother and sister.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hileman Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
