CAIRO, Ill. -- Mary F. Johnson, 91, of Cairo, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 25, 1900, in Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of Kalell and Helen Hanna Farah. She married Alex Johnson, who died in 1968.
The Johnsons owned Johnson Grocery in Cairo. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star, and Syrian-American Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Sara Guetterman, Rose Nasser and Dorothy Johnson of Cairo; three sons, Johnny Johnson Sr. of Tarpon Springs, Fla., Alex Johnson Jr. and George Johnson Sr. of Cairo; three sisters, Rose Brown of Indianapolis, Ind., Helen Ellis and Mable Rassie of Terre Haute, Ind.; a brother, Bill Farah of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. The Revs. F. Edward Watson and John Essa will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
