Mary E. York, 83, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born July 13, 1917, at Fornfelt, Mo., daughter of William and Buna Little Wright. She and Floyd York were married Sept. 3, 1934, at Sikeston, Mo. He died Feb. 9, 1993.

She had owned and operated the Old Seventy-five Cafe on Main Street in Cape Girardeau for many years.

Survivors include a son, James E. York of Cherokee Village, Ark.; two daughters, Pat Dietiker and Judy Niswanger, both of Cape Girardeau; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, two daughters, a brother, five sisters, three grandchildren; and a greatgrandchild.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Delbert Mueller officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
