MARY E. MARTIN

ZALMA -- Mary Elizabeth Martin, 88, of Zalma, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 1994, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

She was born March 21, 1905, in Advance, daughter of James and Matilda Mason. She and Ira Leonard Martin were married Aug. 23, 1934, in Jonesboro, Ill.

Martin was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, George, Ernest and Mark Martin of Neosho Rapids, Kan.; a daughter, Rosie Pixley of Zalma; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel in Bloomfield. The Rev. Charles Harper will officiate, with burial in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
