CHARLESTON -- Mary Ell Hopson, 68, of Charleston, died Sunday, May 21, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born March 12, 1927, in Ridgely, Tenn., daughter of Johnny and Emma Mae Henderson Johnson.
Hopson had lived in Missouri more than 31 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Pauline Hamilton of Charleston, Willie Avery of Sikeston; seven sisters, Johnny Rowe, Vernette Bigham and Cora Hines of Charleston, Beaulah Martin and Alice Johnson of Tiptonville, Tenn., Emma Chamberlain of Paducah, Ky., Learline Hamilton of Carbondale, Ill.; six brothers, Charles Johnson of Tiptonville, W.C., Clarence, Johnny, Louis and James Johnson, all of Paducah; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson.
Friends may call at Mercy Seat Baptist Church after 11 a.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at the church at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. J.L. Posey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
