JACKSON -- Funeral service for Mary Emma Amos of Jackson was held Tuesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Janet Hopkins officiated, with burial in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery at Old Appleton.
Amos, 66, died Sunday, July 23, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 10, 1929, at Delta, daughter of John and Edna Statler Scheible. She and Max Adam Amos were married Dec. 16, 1951, at Old Appleton.
Amos worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill several years, was a Stanley Home Product representative about 10 years, and was a cook at the Ranch House Restaurant 20 years. She was a lifelong member of Zion Church in Old Appleton and its United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mary Susann Amos; a son, John Robert Amos, all of Jackson, and two grandchildren.
