Mary Carol Denton, 59, of Thebes, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 5, 1954 in St. Louis to Homer and Mary Margaret Culp Wolfe. She and David A. Denton were married March 23, 1997, at Thebes...

Mary Carol Denton, 59, of Thebes, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 5, 1954 in St. Louis to Homer and Mary Margaret Culp Wolfe.

She and David A. Denton were married March 23, 1997, at Thebes.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, David A. Denton of Thebes; daughter, Patti C. Matthews of O'Fallon, Mo.; sister, Karen Schrader of St. Louis; brother, Terry Lee Wolfe of St. Louis; grandchildren, Sarah Marquis, Jimmie Schaeffer and Lilli Mae Lloyd; and friends Bill W. and Dr. Bob.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
