Mary Crown

THEBES, Ill. -- Mary Jane Crown, 88, of Thebes, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 26, 1915, in Beardstown, Ill., daughter of Lee and Lottie Williamson Cole. She and Arbey Crown were married Dec. 4, 1987.

Crown had worked at a shoe factory, and was a member of Alexander Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Ill.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Lynn Cole of Thebes; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 7 p.m. today, and Wednesday until time of service.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
