Mary Sue Crites, 57, of Scott City died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at her home.
She was born Nov. 22, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, to Willard Basil and Sarah Jane Dickerson Crites.
Mary Sue was a recovery room nurse at Saint Francis Medical Center for 30 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407 in Scott City.
Survivors include a brother, Michael Crites of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Dorothy Crites of Cape Girardeau, Janie Crites and Theresa Echols both of Scott City; and a niece, Emily Echols of Scott City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Mildred Crites; a brother, Patrick Crites; two stepsisters, Bobbie Avery and Millie Sue Ancell.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso, Mo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
