KEWANEE -- Mary K. Copeland, 51, of Kewanee, died Thursday, March 14, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Nov. 28, 1944, in Roswell, N.M., daughter of M.H. and Anna Marie Smith Harless. She and Mathis Copeland Jr. were married June 2, 1961.
Copeland was a certified nurse aide and formerly worked at Sikeston Convalescent Center and Sells Rest Home in Matthews. She was a member of Morehouse Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gary Copeland of Kewanee; a daughter, Laura Copeland of Kewanee; her father of Roswell; four brothers, John and Bill Harless of Roswell, Lester Harless of Boston, Mass., Gene Harless of Kingsland, Texas; two sisters, Carolyn Hopper of Morley, Mildred Riley of Roswell, and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with Woodrow Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
