SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mary Irene Cantrell, 68, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Miner Nursing Center.
She was born May 5, 1934, at Sikeston, daughter of Henry Tony and Maggie Mae English Vaughn. She and Leonard Curtis Cantrell were married June 10, 1952, in Piggott, Ark. He died March 20, 1985.
Cantrell was a nurse aide 25 years at Missouri Delta Medical Center. She lived in Sikeston most of her life and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Wickliffe, Ky.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Cantrell of Wickliffe, Lesley Cantrell of Bertrand, Mo.; three daughters, Teresa Caston and Belinda Gorostiza of Sikeston, Marilyn Pullen of Wyatt, Mo.; a sister, Evelyn Webb of Dexter, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with Larry Fraser and Billy Harris officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
