Mary Valentine Butrum, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 14, 1919, at Keokuk, Iowa, daughter of Alfred M. and Viola Lee Raft Morris. She was married to Alfred Butrum. He preceded her in death.
Butrum was a member of Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church at Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include four sons, Charles Copen and Jerry, Isaac and Larry Renn, all of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Rosemary Jones of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Bill Morris of Kentucky and Gerald Morris of Caruthersville, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Monday at Fords & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Davis officiating.
