Mary Brown

CAIRO, Ill. -- Mary Kathleen Brown, 78, of Cairo died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 6, 1928, in Springfield, Mo., daughter of Leo and Ellen Beland Baudino. She married Charles W. Brown Sr., who died in 1985.

Brown was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Cairo VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Brown Jr. of Cairo, Marty Brown of Olmsted, Ill., Schuyler Brown of Paducah, Ky.; a brother, Leo Baudino of Cairo; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. The rosary will be recited at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Church, with a nephew, the Rev. Tom Stout, officiating. Burial will be in the U.S. National Cemetery at Mound City, Ill.
