Mary Margaret Bronaugh, 61, of Jackson passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, surrounded by loved ones at her residence.

She was born April 16, 1955, in St. Louis, daughter of Orville Remington and Violet Marie Dunlap Beckett.

Mary was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in St. Louis and received a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona.

Mary began her career as a massage therapist and later managed and designed spas throughout the United States, including several five-star facilities. Mary was also a Reiki master in the Usui traditional form of Japanese alternative healing arts. A quote that inspired Mary was, "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, but spiritual beings having a human experience."

She loved antiques, gardening and genealogy, but most of all her family and grandchildren, who were the main reason she came back to Cape Girardeau County for retirement.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Danielle (Matt) Callow of Jackson; a son, Jordan (Rebecca) Picker of Cape Girardeau; a brother, David Beckett of Jackson; and a sister, Linda (Lou) Voss of O'Fallon, Missouri.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Taylor, Addison, Kellan, Jack and Delaney.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Richards.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, officiated by Darren Burgfield. A traditional Cherokee blessing will be delivered by Chief Paul White Eagle.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the National Fabry's Disease Foundation, 4301 Connecticut Ave. N.W., Suite 404, Washington, DC, 20008.
