Mary Basalone, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at The Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1910, in LaCrosse, Wis., daughter of Neimer and Tamame Swayden Haddad. She married Rocco Basalone Jan. 21, 1926, in Los Angeles, Calif. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1987.
Basalone lived in California 65 years. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Tustin, Calif., 40 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Keene of Lynn, Mass.; a sister, Louise Kutschka of Buena Park, Calif.; four grandchildren, Gerry Keene of Cape Girardeau, Rebecca Larson of Marblehead, Mass., Mark Keene of Salem, Mass., Marie Collins of Boulder, Nev.; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Basalone; five brothers, two sisters and a stepsister.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
