ANNA, Ill. -- Mary Bacon, 84, of Anna died Friday, Jan. 29, 1999, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Anna, daughter of John and Madie Spann Bacon.
She was the librarian at Stinson Memorial Library in Anna for more than 50 years. She was a Presbyterian.
She is survived by a nephew, Thomas P. Bacon of Anna; three nieces, Betsy Flamm of Webster, Ind., Madie Pray of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Barbara Remy of Algona, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Wilkinson officiating.
Burial will be at Anna Cemetery.
