ADVANCE, Mo. � Mary Elima Armstrong, 85, of Advance passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at the Advance Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 25, 1932, in Advance, the daughter of Clarence Dewitt and Edna Gertrude Davis Robins.
Mary had worked as a housekeeper at the Advance Nursing Center for 15 years. She had retired from Paramount Hat Factory in Advance. She loved crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed watching her soap operas. She loved her family very much.
Survivors include a son, Gary Wayne Armstrong of Advance; two daughters, Sharon Reeves of Calico Rock, Arkansas, and Kim Bennett of Zalma, Missouri; two sisters, Shirley Risse of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Carol Cauley of De Soto, Missouri; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son; a daughter, Janice Maddox; and four brothers.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at the chapel, with Rick Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
