Mary Ann Griffith, 66, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Nov. 14, 1942, in New Madrid, Mo., daughter of Ezra and Rosa Smith Jenkins. She and Dale Griffith were married Jan. 7, 1966, in Jackson.

She was a member of Word of Faith Fellowship in Cape Girardeau. She had been a volunteer election judge. She had worked at the Missouri Veterans Home for 5 years and at Drury Hotels more than 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Griffith; two sons, Charles (Michele) Griffith of Oak Ridge and Roger (Angie) Griffith of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Pam Griffith of Cape Girardeau and Rosa Marie (Tim) Lee of Scott City; two brothers, Robert (Frances) Jenkins of Oak Ridge and Bobby Joe Jenkins of California; four sisters, Edith Jenkins and Shirley (Damon) Birks, both of Bloomfield, Mo., Charlotte (Virgil) Jaco of Sikeston, Mo., Nancy (Pat) Spurlock of Scott City; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Henson officiating.

Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may be made to the family of Mary Ann Griffith.
