VINITA, Okla. — Mary Ann Bles, 92, of Vinita died peacefully Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at Trinity Woods in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was born July 5, 1931, in Scott City to Owen J. and Anna Welter Rogers, the youngest of five children. She married John Bles on Sept. 1, 1951, in Kelso and proceeded to raise their three children in St. Louis and later in Lombard, Illinois. Their final move was in 1972 to Vinita. John proceeded Mary Ann in death July 21, 2004. They were always each other’s true “best friend forever”.

Mary Ann was very active in the Catholic church in Vinita, where she was a member of the women’s guild and volunteered countless hours to various parish programs. She also supported her community as a Cherry Reds, volunteering her time and energy at the community hospital, as well as volunteering her help at the local library.

She cherished her friends and family and loved nothing more than being in their company, either dining together, shopping or just enjoying a cup of coffee or cocktail on the patio. She truly had a gift of gab and always took you to a happier place.
