Mary Anderson

Mary J. Anderson, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 10, 1924, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Albert and Ellen Spurgeon Suskey. She and Kenneth K. Anderson were married May 27, 1961, in Mason City, Iowa.

Mary moved to Cape Girardeau from Burlington, Iowa, in February 1977.

Survivors include six grandchildren, Ellen Wright of Jackson, Ken Anderson, Ryan Anderson and Jamie Stanley of Kansas, Jennifer Roberts and Mary Brungardt of Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Mary Wright of Cape Girardeau, Lauren Anderson and Kenzie Anderson of Kansas, Tinsley Roberts and T.J. Roberts of Oklahoma; four great-great-grandchildren, Ethan O'Kelly of Jackson, Kendall O'Kelly and Miranda Jo Schweiss of Cape Girardeau and Cash Anderson of Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Donald Williams; and three brothers.

There is no visitation.

A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
