Mary Alice "Mamie" Adams, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 1991 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was 96.
She was born Dec. 19, 1894 to Matthew Fulliger Humphreys and Gertrude Farner. On Dec. 28, 1914, she married Carroll Blaine Adams in Murphysboro, Ill. He died Jan. 18, 1973.
She was a member of the New McKendree United Methodist Church in Jackson, the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen Auxiliary, and the P.E.O.
Surviving are a son, Carroll M. Adams of Jackson; a daughter, Leola Kirn of Paducah, Ky.; a brother, Harold Humphreys of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Gladys Schaefer of St. Louis; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate. Visitation will be held today starting at 5 p.m.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
