COBDEN, Ill. -- Mary Agnes Watkins Kirk, 71, of Carbondale Route 4 died Friday, Aug. 4, 1995, in an automobile accident south of Alto Pass. Her husband, Elmo Kirk, was also killed in the accident.
She was born May 7, 1924, in Cobden, daughter of Otis and Mary Fitzgerald Watkins.
She married John A. Mullane on April 19, 1945. He preceded her in death June 26, 1983.
She married Elmo Kirk in October 1991.
She is survived by two sisters, Bertha Rinehart of Cobden and Bernice Watkins of Emmett, Mich.; a brother, Robert J. Watkins of Jacksonville, Fla.
A brother preceded her in death.
She was a retired purchasing agent at the Hines VA Hospital.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden and at the church after 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Cobden, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Kelley Cemetery east of Cobden.
