MARVIN TOWNSEND

SIKESTON -- Marvin Edward Townsend, 24, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of Sikeston, died May 13, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born June 14, 1970, in Sikeston, to Shirley Jones of Sikeston and Marvin Edward Townsend Sr. of Maywood, Ill.

Townsend attended Richland High School in Essex.

Survivors include his fiancee, Francis Walker of Jackson, Tenn.; a brother, Stacy Townsend of Sikeston; a sister, Tracie Townsend of Sikeston; two stepbrothers, Randy Townsend and Marvin Townsend of Maywood; a stepsister, Tiffany Townsend of Maywood; his maternal grandmother, May Francis King of England, Ark.; and his paternal grandmother, Agnes Townsend of Maywood.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the William-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Powerhouse of God Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Betty Ware officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
