Marvin J. Nenninger, 91, died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Heartland Care Rehab Center. He was born June 9, 1907, son of John Henry and Sevilla Frueh Nenninger. He and Opal Dawson were married March 29, 1937, at Cape Girardeau. Nenninger was employed by the Tip-Top Bread Co. for 30 years. Marvin J. Nenninger, 91, died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Heartland Care Rehab Center.

He was born June 9, 1907, son of John Henry and Sevilla Frueh Nenninger. He and Opal Dawson were married March 29, 1937, at Cape Girardeau.

Nenninger was employed by the Tip-Top Bread Co. for 30 years. He also played in several local bands: Pop Crites Orchestra, The Melodians and The Rhythmaires.

He was a member St. Mary's Cathedral, Knights of Columbus Council 1111, Elks Lodge 639, West Side Senior Citizens Club and a past member of St. Joseph's Men's Group of St. Mary's.

Survivors include five sons, John Nenninger of Lincoln, Neb., Jerome Nenninger of Salem, Ore., Timothy Nenninger of St. Charles, Joseph and Richard Nenninger, both of Jackson; two daughters, Mary Emmons of Cape Girardeau and Judith Lawrence of Perryville; a sister, Mary Ziegler of Cape Girardeau; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with parish prayers at 7 and the Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30.

A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
