DITTMER, Mo. -- Marvin C. Miller, 82, of Dittmer died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at St. Clair Nursing Center in St. Clair, Mo.
He was born Sept. 20, 1918, at Sikeston, Mo., son of William A. and Addie Couch Miller. He and Earmon Murphy were married Feb. 20, 1946, in St. Louis.
Miller worked 27 years at Valley Farms of St. Louis. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church in St. Louis.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Norman Miller of Steelville, Mo., Raymond Miller of Dittmer; three daughters, Geraldine Ray of Affton, Mo., Bonnie Counts of St. Louis, Barbara Shannon of Lonedell, Mo.; two brothers, Albert and Alburn Miller of Elkhart, Ind.; four sisters, Cartha Campbell of Elkhart, Glenda Causey, Carolyn Miller and Margaret Burlison, all of Sikeston; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo., from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Manning will officiate. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
